Jamshedpur FC U-18 Run Riot with 20–0 Rout of Chhattisgarh United

Jamshedpur, December 31: Jamshedpur FC’s Under-18 side produced a ruthless attacking display as they demolished Chhattisgarh United FC 20–0 in their opening match of the Reliance Foundation Youth Development League Regional Qualifiers at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Seven different players found the scoresheet as the Young Men of Steel ran riot from the opening whistle, completely overwhelming a hapless Chhattisgarh side. Heeranganba Seram led the charge with six goals, while Rayan C struck five times in a one-sided contest that was effectively settled within the first half.

Jamshedpur wasted no time in asserting their dominance. Seram opened the scoring in the second minute, finishing neatly from a Soumik Das cross. Moments later, pressure from Sachin Singh’s delivery resulted in an own goal, before Rayan announced himself with a delightful finish, latching on to a Rashithoi Meetei through ball and flicking it over the advancing goalkeeper.

Seram soon added his second, again from a Sachin cross, and by the 12th minute the score read 5–0 when Lawmsangzuala, popularly known as Mama, converted after a sharp combination with Seram. The goals continued to flow as Rayan struck again with Seram turning provider, followed by a fine finish from Sachin Singh.

Chhattisgarh’s misery was compounded in the 38th minute when their substitute goalkeeper was shown a straight red card, further tilting the contest heavily in Jamshedpur’s favour.

Jamshedpur’s relentless pressing and movement left Chhattisgarh chasing shadows. By the time the referee blew for half-time, the hosts had surged to a staggering 13–0 lead, with further goals coming from Seram, Rayan, Satyajit Das and Lawmsangzuala.

The second half followed a similar pattern, despite Jamshedpur rotating their squad. Substitutes Alvin Eshaan Khyriem and Krishna Tudu both got on the scoresheet. Seram completed his six-goal haul late in the game, while Rayan added two more to take his tally to five.
