Jamshedpur, April 5: Jamshedpur FC U14 capped off a flawless Group G campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Future Star Football Academy at Flatelet, underlining their dominance throughout the league. Kartik Marandi continued his prolific form with a brace, finding the net in the 22nd and 80th minutes, while Karthikeyan added another in the 28th minute to seal a comfortable win.
The result ensured that Jamshedpur FC U14 finished the group stage with a perfect record, winning all 10 matches and accumulating 30 points. The team showcased remarkable consistency at both ends of the pitch, scoring 41 goals while conceding just two across the campaign.
Earlier, in the reverse fixture held on May 3, Jamshedpur FC had registered an emphatic 6-0 win against the same opponents. In that encounter, Kartik Marandi, Karthikeyan, and Arsal Murmu were all on the scoresheet, while Shubham Behera netted a brace in a comprehensive attacking display.
A notable aspect of this squad has been its strong local representation, with 19 of the 20 players hailing from Jharkhand, reflecting the club’s successful grassroots scouting and development programme.
Having already secured qualification earlier in the campaign, the team will now shift focus to the final round, set to be held in Mahabalipuram, Chennai, from April 15 onwards, where they will look to carry forward their outstanding form against the best teams in the country.
