Jamshedpur, May 20:
Jamshedpur FC U15 are set to face Punjab FC in a crucial Group C encounter of the AIFF Junior League Final Round on Wednesday, with a spot in the quarterfinals hanging in the balance. The match will be played at the Flatlet Ground at 4 PM.
With just one point from two games, Jamshedpur FC find themselves in a must-win situation after a 1-1 draw against Football 4 Change Academy and a 3-1 defeat to a physically dominant Minerva Academy. Anything less than three points against Punjab will end the hosts’ hopes of progressing to the knockout stage.
Punjab FC, on the other hand, come into the match on the back of a strong 4-1 win over Football 4 Change, having bounced back from their opening loss to Minerva. They currently sit above JFC in the group standings and need at least a draw to keep their qualification hopes alive.
