Jamshedpur FC U18 team win their fourth consecutive game in the Hero India Youth League Elite

The youngsters put on a tremendous show as they clinched their fourth consecutive victory in the India Youth League Elite against Football Association of Odisha. The match began with them dominating possession. Football Association of Odisha saw an opening in the seventh minute when Vishal Yadav faced a two on one situation but he closed the gap for the forward to skew his shot wide. Jamshedpur FC U18 team finally received an opening when Kenedy scored the opening goal in the 17th minute. 

Vishal Yadav was once again in the midst of the action as he saved a banger for outside the box. Sorokhaibam tried his luck with some fancy footwork in the box but could only skew his shot wide after getting close to scoring in the 25th minute. The final chance of the first half was presented to Lalruatmawia by Samarjit but Mawai couldn’t put it behind the net and the score remained 1-0 in the first half.

The second half began in the same fashion as the first half ended. Meitei and Mawia combined to present Jagoi with a golden opportunity but the effort was eventually blocked. Phijam Sigh was substituted in the 55th minute and was replaced by Angelo Singh. In the 64th minute, there were two substitutions made where Jagoi and Samarjit made way for Hasan and Robin Das.

The substitutions had a direct impact on the play. Kenedy scored his second goal of the match in the 67th minute from a corner. Subash Barua was in the midst of the action as he curled in a beauty to score his first goal and take the lead to 3-0 in the 72nd minute. Robin Das then scored a brace, the first in the 86th minute and the second in the 88th minute to seal yet another emphatic victory for the Jamshedpur FC U18 team. The final score was 5-0.
