Jamshedpur, January 20: Jamshedpur FC Under-14 will kick off its AIFF Sub-Junior League 2025–26 campaign with a home fixture against Ramkrishna Mission Football Academy at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on January 25.
The match will mark the first competitive outing for Jamshedpur FC Under-14 in the new season. While the remaining fixtures of the zonal round Group ‘G’ are yet to be confirmed by the All India Football Federation, the opening game provides an early opportunity for the young side to showcase its preparation.
The squad comprises 20 players, of whom 19 are from Jharkhand. The players were selected following extensive trials conducted across the state over a three-month period, underlining the club’s continued focus on identifying and nurturing local talent.
The team is coached by Rahul Raj, who previously served as the head coach of the Jharkhand State Sub-Junior team. Since their induction two months ago, the players have undergone structured training aimed at technical development and match readiness.
“The players have been improving constantly. This year we have made good preparations, and it will be a golden opportunity for the players, especially those from Jharkhand,” said head coach Rahul Raj.
