The Jamshedpur FC Youth Team were beaten 2-1 by Singhbhum Soccer Fans Club at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco, Jamshedpur thanks to goals from Sunaram Murmu and Jama Rama Hansda in JSA League Super Division action.
Jamshedpur FC were looking for their first win in the JSA League so far, but were pegged back despite a strong start to the game.
Sunaram Murmu broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute of the match, and Jama Rama Hansda scored the winner for Singhbhum Soccer Fans Club in the 78th minute after Lawmsangzuala had equalised for JFC in the 63rd minute.
Despite a strong push for an equalising goal, the young Men of Steel were unable to score again and the opposition enjoyed a welcome victory.
In the other Super Division game of the day, Sporting Club JSR put on a strong showing and were victorious by a 3-0 margin against Dalma Tiger FC at Gopal Maidan.
At Tinplate Sports Complex, New Boys Club were beaten 3-1 by newly promoted side Ambedkar FC in A Division (Group B) action, while Group A of the same division saw Adivasi Green Sporting Club defeated 2-1 by Real India Foundation Sporting Club at Armoury Ground.
JRD Tata Sports Complex played host to the Premier Division clash between Gramin Football Academy and SERSA where the latter comfortably won 3-0 against their opponents and take a crucial step forward in the JSA League.
