Jamshedpur FC U18 (TFA) take-off to Spain for an 'Exposure Tour' with Atletico de Madrid

The young-stars will be trained by Atletico de Madrid coaches at the newly developed Atletico de Madrid Complex.

After participating in the Vedanta Youth Cup, Goa 2019, Jamshedpur FC U18 (Tata Football Academy) flew to Madrid, Spain for an exposure tour in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The practice sessions will be held in the new Atletico de Madrid complex which was inaugurated recenlty in August and the youngsters will also play a few friendly matches during their stay.

The trip also includes a visit to the vibrant and historic city of Madrid, the Alteltico de Madrid stadium - Wanda Metropolitano's tour, alongwith all the different complexes and set-ups of the club where the boys will aslo get to watch practice sessions and league matches of the Atletico de Madrid Youth Teams.

On the opportunity for the boys on this exposure tour, Head of Youth Development, Carlos Santamarina said, "It's a very good chance for our boys to work for 20 days with Atletico de Madrid coaches and they can play friendly matches against diferents spanish teams. For sure this experience will help in their development."


He underlined the objectives of the tour as he continued, "The main objetive of this experience is that all the players and coaches travelling can see the way of working in other countries, and particularly at Atletico de Madrid. We are working under the Atletico de Madrid methodology during the last 6 months at Tata Foorball Academy, and now they will observe the end result of this methodology right in front of their eyes as they watch the sessions and matches here."

The players that have travelled are: Shiv Nandan Yadav (Goalkeeper), Sapam Kenedy Singh, Subhash Barua, Manash Protim Gogoi, Suklal Kunkal, Keisam Angelo Singh, Gaurab Chaitan Hansdah, Robin Das, Arjun Sharma, Anand Kumar, Rishi Raj, Kumar Mahato (Goalkeeper), Khangembam Samarjit Singh, Ravi Bahadur Rana, Sudarshan Kumar Mahato, (Gaolkeeper), Lalramdinsanga Ralte, Nayan Tamang, Sandip Mandi, Wungshungam Jagoi

The coaches and staff travelling with the team: Carlos Santamarina (Head - Youth Development), Indranil Chakraborty (Head Coach - U18), Subrata Dasgupta (Goalkeeper Coach), V. Ram Krishna (Academy Manager), Abhishek Ganguly (Team Manager & Analyst), Murtuza Sabuwala (Physiotherapist)

The colts will be spending twenty days in the Spanish capital for the Exposure Tour as they prepare for the football season ahead.
