Jamshedpur, March 10: Jamshedpur’s youth teams are set for an important week of home fixtures in the AIFF Youth League with both the U16 and U14 sides playing crucial Group G matches at Jamshedpur.
The U16 junior team heads into the week in excellent form, sitting at the top of the Group G table with 13 points. Jamshedpur FC U16 have won four of their five matches so far and drawn one away game, continuing an impressive run in the competition. With three matches still to play in the zonal round, the team will be looking to consolidate their position at the top. S
econd-placed Infocus Academy have four points from three matches, while Inter Kashi, Jamshedpur’s next opponents, have played only one match and drawn it.
The U14 sub-junior side have also enjoyed a perfect start to their campaign and currently lead the table with nine points after winning all three of their matches. RKMFA sit second with five points from four matches. United Sports Club, who Jamshedpur FC face next, have played one match which ended in a draw. SP One Foundation have four points from four matches, while Inter Kashi have two points from four matches.
With both teams leading their respective groups, the upcoming matches could prove decisive as the zonal round enters its final phase.
