Jamshedpur Football Club host Grassroots Football Festival at DBMS High School, Kadma

With Jamshedpur FC’s Grassroots Programme up and running, the club successfully hosted a Grassroots Football Festival at DBMS High School in Kadma.

The JFC-DBMS Football Festival saw over 500 kids from the age groups of 3-years to 12-years-old of the school participate and enjoy thoroughly early morning on Saturday.

The parents were ecstatic as one of the participant’s father, Mr. Sridhar Rao, was quoted saying, “I can see my child along with the hundreds of others out here enjoy to the fullest and I am looking forward to more as JFC set up their football schools.”

Along with the coaches deployed, the festival also saw JFC’s Reserve team players also take part in it as they guided the kids with small-sided games across the ground.

DBMS High School Principal, Mrs. Meena Bugli observed how the students reacted during the football festival and was delighted at the response. She said, “This is a great initiative from Jamshedpur FC. We hope to see a football school set up soon in collaboration with the club and hope to see many kids come up as future football stars.”

The club’s Head of Grassroots & Youth Development, Mr. Kundan Chandra, spoke about the importance of the football festival as he said, “We want the parents and the school to see what happens in grassroots football. At the end of the day, we must ensure that the kid enjoyed as well as learned. And from the smiling faces around the ground, you can make out yourself that they thoroughly enjoyed.”
