“Jamshedpur is my home, family and in my heart” – Memo Moura

Memo Moura, one of the fans’ favourites in Jamshedpur, enters his third season with the club. The Brazilian has seen a lot of amazing moments on the field with his teammates and off the field with the fans.

The 31-year-old midfielder spoke to the press in a candid interview. Excerpts below:

On his Jamshedpur FC journey been so far…

It's been fantastic! I'm happy to be able to play the third season. Every game I give myself in total. Jamshedpur for me is my home, is my family, my heart. I give my blood and sweat in all games.

On the Jamshedpur FC fans…

I remember that my first time in Jamshedpur. I said I would play for the fans. I had the desire to stay in their minds. I'm in season three now and I play every game for them. They're amazing, always coming to cheer for us at the Furnace. They are like our 12th man and help us a lot on the pitch, I love Jamshedpur fans.

My favorite moment is when I see the crowded stadium, full of fans. It gives me an extra energy and seeing them celebrating our goals is an absolute bliss.

On Antonio Iriondo…

He has a different style of play. He communicates to us with whatever he thinks can improve our performance and get the best out of us. He wants to implement the concept of total football and make us control the game with ball possession. And most importantly, he likes to win.

On his objectives for the season…

My main objective is to be champion. I know that in two seasons we have been close to the semi-finals. I want to give this gift (the ISL trophy) to everyone in Jamshedpur as all players and fans will be champions together.  We all are in it together.
