Jamshedpur plays host to Isac Doru & Sunando Dhar

Mr Isac Doru, Technical Director – All India Football Federation and Mr Sunando Dhar, CEO – I-League visited Jamshedpur yesterday and took a tour of the facilities utilised by Jamshedpur FC’s first team and youth teams. They started the day with a tour of the Tata Football Academy where Mr Doru interacted with the Jamshedpur FC Youth Team cadets and was taken through the top-notch facilities available for them to train. Next, Mr Doru was given a tour of the Jamshedpur FC First Team Training and Accommodation Complex.

In the afternoon, Mr Dhar joined Mr Doru and took a tour of the facilities at the JRD Tata Sports Complex – the competition area along with the High-Performance Center. Later, they visited one of the TSRDS - Jamshedpur FC Grassroots Centers on the outskirts of Jamshedpur in a village named Gorgora where they observed kids of the age 4 to 12 years old being trained in sync with the club’s Grassroots programme and philosophy. The day ended with a small interaction with Mr Chanakya Chaudhary, Chairman – Jamshedpur FC, at the Tata Steel General Office.

On completing the visit, Mr Doru said, “Jamshedpur has state of the art facilities available and has some fantastic programmes in place for youth development. It’s good to see so much importance being given to sports in this city and the type of infrastructure available for football athletes is excellent.”

Mr Mukul Choudhari, CEO – Jamshedpur FC expressed his enthusiasm about the club’s youth football initiatives getting the attention of two significant figures in Indian football. "We intend to work closely with the AIFF on Grassroots & Youth Development in synchronization of their programmes,” Mr Choudhari said. “We are enthusiastic to host the AIFF youth leagues and baby leagues in the city and it was great to see Mr Isac and Mr Sunando appreciate the facilities and the programmes being run by us. It's a big boost and shows that we are headed in the right direction in football development for the city."
