Jamshedpur FC earned a comfortable win in their second pre-season friendly of the season. Jet, Chima and Ishan earned a hattrick each as they beat Tata Steels 12-0 today at the flatlet ground.
Head coach Aidy Boothroyd started with four foreigners Peter, Wellington, Jet and Chima in his playing XI. Going into the halftime Jamshedpur FC scored 7-0 as Jet, Wellington, Chima and Boris found the net. The Tata Steel side came up well after the halftime creating few chances. But the men of steel increased the lead and ended the match 12-0 with Pandita completing his hattrick coming of the bench.
Speaking on the preseason game Tata Steel head coach Shafique Rahman, “We are grateful to get this opportunity of playing against Jamshedpur FC. These games present a good opportunity for the young local talents to express their skills while learning a lot about the sport at the same time. It gives them a first-hand experience of the level of football that is played in the top leagues which helps the young ones set a benchmark for themselves. The lads gave their best on the field and I am sure today’s game will aid all the players in their overall development and abilities on-and-off the pitch.”
