Javi Hernandez Hails Jamshedpur FC’s ‘Underrated’ Fans as the Team Secure Playoff Spot

Jamshedpur, February 25: Jamshedpur FC midfielder Javi Hernandez has credited the team’s passionate fanbase for their role in securing a spot in the Indian Super League (ISL) playoffs, calling them the "most underrated fans in the whole country." Speaking ahead of their crucial clash against Kerala Blasters on March 1, the Spanish playmaker emphasised the unwavering support the team has received throughout the season.

“They come to every game in numbers, they help us a lot, they cheer for us in every game,” Javi said. “Even during difficult moments, they continued to support us, and that was very important for us. This qualification for the playoffs—it's their achievement as well. Now, let’s push together for these last three games and the playoffs.”

Reflecting on the team’s performance, Javi highlighted the collective effort that has driven Jamshedpur FC to this stage. “Not only me, but everyone has been at a very high level this season. I try to give my all in every game—helping in defence, in attack, in every aspect. Some matches were better than others, but that’s football,” he said. “What mattered was that we played together, like a family, through both the good and tough moments.”

With the playoffs secured, Javi believes the job is far from over. “We are very happy to achieve this milestone, but this is not finished. There is still a long way to go. We will push in every game to finish as high as possible,” he added.

Jamshedpur FC now shifts focus to their next challenge against Kerala Blasters on March 1.
