Jamshedpur, November 19: The much-anticipated Jamshedpur FC U15 (TFA) trials began today with a strong turnout of young footballers showcasing their skills. Phase 1 of the trials witnessed the participation of 148 players from West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The trials will continue tomorrow for the region.

The trials, spanning 12 days from 19th to 30th November, have attracted 1,095 shortlisted candidates from 26 states and union territories. Players will compete for an opportunity to join TFA’s prestigious youth programme. The event is structured into multiple batches to accommodate the large number of participants and ensure a thorough selection process.
Candidates from regions as diverse as Gujarat, Manipur, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh are scheduled to take the field in the coming days, with the final selection rounds slated for 29th and 30th November.
Kerala leads in applicant numbers with 334 players, followed by Jharkhand with 280 participants. Owing to the significant representation from these states, special dates have been allocated, with Kerala’s players attending Batch IV and Jharkhand’s players in Batch II.
