Ahead of the upcoming match against Hyderabad FC, the U-23 national team player and our midfielder, Jitendra Singh, had a lot to say in regards to the ferocity with which the Men of Steel won against the Gaurs, some personal and team strategies ahead of the first home game of the season vs Hyderabad FC, and more.

Read the excerpts from the press conference now:

Thoughts on starting getting to start for the club this season

I'm really happy because it's extremely important for young players like me to get some game time, improve and work on myself with every passing match. So, I just need to keep my head down, keep pushing and keep working hard to get better with every game.

Thoughts on Jamshedpur playing from midfield to attack against FC Goa

With FC Goa, I feel we worked really well and hard against the ball. We were in good shape and played good football. We pressed them well when the circumstances called for it, especially in the second half where we scored the 3 goals and the winning points.

Places where the team can improve upon

I believe we can improve in every game. We usually watch our previous games and analyse it to get better, and that's what we are doing and will keep doing ahead of every match.

Personally, which aspect of your game would you like to improve the most?

I think I need to play with the ball more, get a bit more confident with it and play better against the opponent.

Thoughts on match vs Hyderabad FC

We know how Hyderabad plays. They are a good team, they are an attacking team, they like to play with the ball; last season they did really well. This season, they started their campaign with a loss against Chennai by conceding a penalty, but they bounced back really well in their next match against Mumbai. So, we know it will be a good match. We respect the team, and we just need to focus on the game and do the best we can from every position, because if we do that, we will get the winning points.
