#JFCSCEB Match Preview: Second clash against a fiery SC East Bengal

Jamshedpur FC moved up to the 3rd position after grabbing the winning points in their hard-fought battle against NorthEast United FC. After securing the crucial win by netting a goal in the final minutes of the extra time, Jamshedpur ended their first half of the season on a positive note. Now the team will kick off the second half of the season with their first fixture against SC East Bengal in a home game..

The two sides have faced each other this season back in November, 2021. With the aim of starting the campaign in a positive manner, both squads displayed a tough contest of football with SC East Bengal taking an early lead in the opening minutes of the first half and then the skipper of the Men of Steel, Peter Hartley, equalising the score with a goal in the extra time of the first 45 minutes. With the score being all-square, the two sides did their best to get a goal to take the lead over the other in the next half but were unsuccessful in doing so, thus concluding the game in a convincing draw with both teams sharing the points at the end of the night.

The Gaffer knows the Red and Gold Brigade has all capability to put up a tough game in front of the Men of Steel as he expressed how impressed he is with their quality of play. “I have been very impressed by the SC East Bengal side lately and how they went about the games lately. Their team is working their socks off which has been evident in their last few games. Every one of them is putting their shoulder to the wheel, helping their teammates and I am very impressed with their appetite, their work rate, so we have to make sure we match that, give our very best on the pitch and look to play our own style of football,” said Owen Coyle in the #JFCSCEB pre-match press conference.

While Jamshedpur have taken away points in almost every game they have played, SC East Bengal have had a tough campaign so far and are currently placed at the bottom of the league table with no wins in 10 games. SC East Bengal will seek to register as many points as possible in the remainder of the season while the Men of Steel will look to register their first victory over the Red and Gold Brigade squad this season.

Tonight as the two sides step back up to the pitch again for their second meeting, both teams will be battling to give their best on the pitch to ensure a sure-shot victory and grab the 3 points, unlike their last meeting.
