The Loyola School U11 students put on a dominant performance in Week 10 of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023 to pick up another win and push up the standings with an 8-1 thrashing of U11 students from Jamshedpur Public School (JPS).
It was the Loyola Fighters team that won their match with a huge margin against JPS Lions, scoring goals for fun and giving their parents something to cheer about.
The second edition of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023, hosted by Jamshedpur FC in conjunction with Jharkhand Football Association (JFA) and Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA) has been divided into U5, U7, U9, U11 and U13 categories for the benefit of kids across the city.
The 10-month long tournament will be held every Sunday morning at the Archery ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex to nurture development and add to the existing grassroots schools program run by the club during the week after school hours.
As many as 122 students were present to be a part of Week 10 of the Baby League, turning up with their parents in the scorching Sunday heat at the Archery ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex to perform at their very best.
The U9 and U7 categories boasted the most number of students this week with 30 in each age category, while the U5s had 25 students, U11s had 15, while 22 students showed up in the U13s from the various schools that are a part of the grassroots program.
The U5s played four matches, U7s played three matches, two matches were played by the U9s, while one each was played in the U11s and U13s.
