The match was a tightly contested affair with both sides creating numerous opportunities to clinch the win. However, it was Jamshedpur FC who broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through Javi Siverio, concluding a splendid piece of combination play involving Manzorro, Chima Chukwu, Sanan, Uvais, and Siverio himself, who executed a fine run and finish from 5 yards out. Mumbai City FC responded in the 74th minute, levelling the scoreline and setting the stage for a tense finale.

The first half saw both teams looking to open the scoring with Mumbai City coming closest on two occasions only to be saved by Rehenesh. The half ended with the scoreboard reading 0-0.

As the match progressed, Daniel Chima Chukwu received a second yellow card, leading to his dismissal and leaving Jamshedpur a man down. This incident will see Chukwu miss the next critical match against Kerala Blasters.

There were notable efforts towards the end of the second half, including a blocked shot by Jamshedpur's Javi Siverio in the dying moments of the match.

Despite late attempts from both sides to snatch victory, the match ended in a draw. Both teams displayed commendable resilience and strategic play, but neither could find the winning goal.
