Nothing Less Than Victory: Nikola Stojanovic Sets Winning Tone at Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur, October 22: Jamshedpur FC’s new Serbian signing Nikola Stojanovic has made his ambitions clear ahead of the upcoming Super Cup, declaring that his only focus is on winning trophies with the Red Miners.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who led Inter Kashi to the I-League title last season, brings a wealth of experience and a fierce competitive mindset to Steven Dias’ side. Known for his leadership and set-piece prowess, Nikola joins a squad that finished runners-up in last season’s Super Cup and is determined to take the final step this time around.

“Nothing more, nothing less than winning,” said Nikola Stojanovic with conviction when asked about the mentality he hopes to bring to Jamshedpur FC. “I’ve always carried a winning mindset within me, and I hope we’ll all share that together here.”

The Serbian playmaker spoke highly of his early interactions with head coach Steven Dias, noting that both share a similar footballing vision. “I spoke with the coach and I think we have the same understanding of the game. I’ve met the teammates and everything feels just as I hoped. I believe I’ll fit in well with this group,” he said.

As he embarks on his fifth season in Indian football, having previously represented Mohammedan SC, Gokulam Kerala, and Inter Kashi, Nikola expressed enthusiasm about continuing his journey in the country. “I’m really happy to be back in India. Like I said, I hope we’ll be on a winning path with Jamshedpur. I’m excited and can’t wait to get started,” he added.

The Serbian also had a brief but heartfelt message for the fans: “Just come and support us. We will do our best to bring some joy back.”

Looking ahead to the Super Cup, Nikola said the team has been putting in the work to be ready for their opening match. “We’re training hard and I think we’ll be ready for the first game and the group stage,” he said.

When asked about facing defending champions FC Goa in the group opener, a rematch of last season’s final, Nikola was confident yet composed. “Nothing changes. Jamshedpur is a really tough team and that’s my mindset,” he concluded
