Opponent Watch: Player analysis ahead of #JFCSCEB

The Men of Steel picked up all the 3 winning points in their final game of the first half of the season against NorthEast United FC in a 5 goal thrilling game, and now move on to the second set of fixtures with their first game against SC East Bengal.

Here are some of the members of their squad who the Men of Steel need to watch out for in our second meeting with SC East Bengal.

Franjo Prce

Played in Lazio until 2018, Prce has been a teammate of former Germany striker, Miroslav Klose and Stefan de Vrij, Ciro Immobile in the club, where he helped Italy win the European Championships in 2021. For the 2013 UEFA European U17 Championships, Prce was named to the Croatian U17 team. He also competed in the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup for the side. After signing with SC East Bengal for the 2021-22 Hero ISL season, Prce was the goal scorer against the Men of Steel in their first meeting which ended the first fixture of the season in a draw. Being the player to deny Jamshedpur the clean sheet in the first game, the Men of Steel defence will aim to keep Prce marked at all times in the upcoming meeting between the two.

Amir Dervisevic

Amir signed SC East Bengal from Slovenian giants NK Maribor ahead of the 2021-22 Hero ISL season, where he spent eight years playing 161 games for the 15-time Slovenian premier league winners, scoring 18 goals. Maribor won three championship crowns, one Slovenian Cup trophy, and qualified for the Champions League group stages in 2014 thanks to the talented midfielder. Following his outstanding achievements for Maribor, Amir was called up to the Slovenian national squad for the 2018/19 season. He has been an essential player in the SC East Bengal midfield as well as the attacking line-up with his ability to create spaces, making final passes and controlling the pace of the game and has also contributed 2 goals in the season so far. Amir will be a threat to the Men of Steel in the midfield in their second meeting of the season.

Adil Khan

In the 2013-14 Hero I-League season, he was a member of Mohun Bagan AC, and in the inaugural Hero ISL season, he was a member of Delhi Dynamos FC. He also played for Hyderabad FC and FC Goa on loan. He also played in the AFC Champions League as well and signed for SC East Bengal prior to the 2021-22 season. The Indian national is also one of the vital elements on the pitch for SC East Bengal with his presence in the midfield as well as the defence for the club and is a potential threat for the Jamshedpur squad in the middle of the park.

Mohammad Rafique

Rafique joined ATK FC in 2014 and scored the winning goal in the Hero ISL 2014, assisting them in becoming the 'First Champions.' He joined Kerala Blasters FC in 2016 after his time in ATK FC in the Hero ISL between 2014 and 2015. For the 2018-19 Hero ISL season, he joined Mumbai City FC and made 16 appearances for the Islanders between 2018 to 2020. In the Hero ISL 2020-21, Rafique joined SC East Bengal and has scored a goal for the club in the season so far and with 72.5% passing accuracy, Rafique is another fine player on the SC East Bengal squad who can be a major threat to the Jamshedpur squad with his unpredictable runs and playmaking abilities.
