Pronay Halder aims to repay the city and the fans of Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur FC successfully completed the signing of the Indian national midfielder, Pronay Halder to their squad on a loan offer from ATK Mohun Bagan. This is the 5th domestic player signing made by the club in the current transfer season ahead of the 2021-22 season of ISL.

Post the transfer move, Pronay was interviewed and the Indian national midfielder was nostalgic as he had a lot to say about the city of Jamshedpur, his days spent there and how Tata Football Academy shaped his childhood dream of becoming a professional footballer and much more.

Here are the excerpts from the first his interview:

“My footballing career started in Jamshedpur, that's why this beautiful city is so close to my heart. Since I graduated from the Tata Football Academy, I always dreamed of going back to the city of Jamshedpur, time and again.

When the head coach and the management of Jamshedpur FC contacted me with this offer, I didn’t think twice before taking on this new adventure in my career.

This opportunity has come up at a crucial stage in my career and I will push myself more on and off the field to make myself a better and sharper footballer.

Jamshedpur nurtured my dream of growing up as a footballer. Now, I hope this city and the club would help me grow to newer heights; perhaps a reincarnation as a footballer. I would like to thank the Gaffer, Owen Coyle, and the management of the club for putting their trust in me. I would not let go of any chance to repay their faith in me and will make the most out of every opportunity I get.

At the end of the day, everyone aims to win the Indian Super League and we are no different. Primarily, we aim to seal the top-four position and thereafter, we would plan for the knockout stages.

Football is a team game and everyone has to perform collectively to their optimum level to achieve this target. If we can perform to our highest potential, there is no reason for us to not achieve our set target.”

Now that Pronay Halder has joined Jamshedpur FC, he aims to explore his full potential under the guidance of the Head Coach, Owen Coyle, and head on to the pitch with the Men of Steel with a single aim of bringing home the prestigious ISL trophy.
