Jamshedpur, October 19: While Jamshedpur FC is preparing for their next match against Hyderabad FC, Rei Tachikawa, Jamshedpur FC’s Japanese midfielder who scored a sensational goal in team’s 2-0 victory is gearing up to pull off another good performance.
His long-range strike in the 21st minute helped break the deadlock, setting the stage for a crucial win in front of a packed home crowd at the JRD Tata Sports Complex but had to leave the match early due to injury.
“I got back to fitness, and I’m ready for the next match,” said Rei enthusiastically. “When I scored in the last game, I felt amazing because it’s one of the best goals of my career. I’m also happy to have helped the team win,” said Rei about his stunner against East Bengal FC.
“It was a big advantage for us to score early. The coach told us before the game to try to get an early goal,” he revealed, emphasizing how vital it was to execute the team's game plan and take control of the match from the start.
Looking ahead, Tachikawa is optimistic about Jamshedpur FC’s season but remains grounded, noting the importance of consistency. “So far, we are doing well, so we need to continue to work hard as we always do. The season is long, so we just try to get ready for the upcoming match,” he said.
Jamshedpur FC currently sits in third place on the Indian Super League table with nine points from four matches. With Tachikawa fully fit and the team in high spirits, the Men of Steel are set to continue their strong form when they face Hyderabad FC on October 21 at 7.30 PM.
