Jamshedpur, August 3: Japanese midfielder Rei Tachikawa has joined the Jamshedpur FC squad at Flatlet, just days ahead of their crucial Durand Cup group stage clash against 1Ladakh FC on August 8. Although Rei was registered for the tournament, he linked up with the team in person on Sunday, bringing experience and depth for Khalid Jamil.

Jamshedpur FC will face 1Ladakh FC with an eye on quarterfinal spot, and head coach Khalid Jamil will welcome Rei’s presence in midfield. The 27-year-old has been a key figure in the club’s core over the last two seasons, earning praise for his control, vision, and consistency.
Rei was instrumental during Jamshedpur’s strong Super Cup campaign last year and played a vital role in their ISL turnaround under Khalid Jamil. His return now brings added depth to the team that’s already shown signs of cohesion in the first two matches.
