Jamshedpur, October 22: Mohammed Sanan believes Jamshedpur FC has a lot to prove this season, especially after one of the best starts the club has had in the Indian Super League. The winger, who dazzled with his crosses and runs, played a crucial role in Jamshedpur’s win against Hyderabad, with his contributions leading to both goals.
“I’m feeling really confident at the moment. The coach and my teammates have been very supportive, and I’m just trying to give my best every time I step on the field. Whether it’s assisting or taking a shot, I’m happy to be contributing to the team’s success. There’s still room for improvement, but I’m pleased with how things are going,” he said.
He credits the success in the previous match to the training sessions under coach Khalid Jamil. “We’ve been working a lot in training to understand each other’s movements and how we can complement each other on the field. Imran, Jordan, and I have a good understanding, and we try to communicate constantly during the game,” he explained.
The 20-year-old is also amazed by the support the team gets at home matches. “For every match, we have a packed stadium, and it’s one of the best places to play football. We owe them a lot, and our victories are because of their love and the appreciation we get from the crowd. Any footballer would enjoy playing here,” he said.
“Now, our focus is on our away match in Guwahati. NorthEast United are a tough opponent, and we’re playing away from home. We need to prepare well and study our opponent. It’s important to stay focused and stick to what’s been working for us, and we’ll go into the match with the same mindset we’ve had all season,” Sanan added.
