William Lalnunfela has had a couple of decent performances in his outings under Owen Coyle. He was brought on late as a substitute vs Hyderabad where he was influential in helping the team to come back and draw after being 1-0 down as well as assisting Eze with the equaliser.

On impressing the coach, he started against ATK Mohun Bagan and gave Sandesh Jhingan a torrid time on the field with his constant pressing and movement. The Mizo forward laid down his thoughts ahead of the crucial clash on 10th Dec vs East Bengal. Here are some excerpts from his interview with the Jamshedpur FC Media team:

On the first win of the season vs ATK Mohun Bagan

I feel really great about it. I am proud to be able to take part in the team and help them win against the defending champions.

On the team's performance

Everyone has been working hard during training and the matches. The performance is a result of that. Everyone was pressing and trying to win the ball back (when not in possession). Everyone worked well to win. We showed a lot of spirit in the match and everyone gave their 100% to do their best.

On the atmosphere in the dressing room

The team is very happy after the win. Also, the senior players always keep motivating and encouraging the entire squad. The atmosphere is good.

On facing SC East Bengal for the upcoming fixture

East Bengal is a very good team. We cannot take them lightly. We need to give our 100% again, and if we will do that, we will win.
