Jamshedpur, September 27: Jamshedpur Football Club has confirmed that Steven Dias will remain Head Coach, with the all important AIFF Super Cup up next in Goa.
Steven has been working closely with the first team as Assistant Coach, playing a key role in JFC’s progress in both the Indian Super League and the Super Cup last season. His familiarity with the squad, coaching philosophy, and ongoing projects made him the ideal choice to lead the team into the Durand Cup 2025 quarterfinals, and will now continue as head coach.
""I am very happy to lead Jamshedpur FC and excited about the upcoming Super Cup. The players have been working hard, and we are also looking forward to the new signings joining the squad soon. We are fully committed to giving our best and making our fans proud.” said Steven Dias.
"Steven Dias is a young dynamic coach who has been associated with us for the past three seasons, and we share a past success. He is well aware of the player dynamics in the team and is the man to lead us. I wish Steven Dias the very best as the Head Coach.” added Mukul Choudari, CEO Jamshedpur FC.
Steven Dias will be leading the team in the Super Cup 2025-26, and Jamshedpur FC is set to face stiff competition in Group B. The team will play against FC Goa, North East United FC, and Inter Kashi in the group stage from October 26 onward.
The Super Cup is a prestigious domestic competition in India, with the winner qualifying for the AFC Champions League Two preliminary stage. Last year, the Men of Steel reached the final of the Kalinga Super Cup 2025, narrowly missing out on the AFC spot.
Before joining Jamshedpur FC, Steven Dias was Head Coach of Ambernath United, guiding them to the I-League Second Division final round and securing back-to-back undefeated Mumbai FA Elite Division titles in 2022 and 2023, along with consecutive Mumbai Women’s League triumphs. He also led Maharashtra to the Santosh Trophy final round in 2022-23, finishing as the tournament’s highest scorers.
Previously, Steven served as Assistant Coach at Odisha FC and Indian Assistant Coach at Jamshedpur FC in 2019-20. As a player, he earned 51 India caps, captained the national team, won the 2008 AFC Challenge Cup, and represented India at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
