Sumeet Passi retained till 2020

Our Indian center forward, Sumeet Passi, has penned a deal to extend his stay with Jamshedpur FC for two more seasons. Sumeet stressed that he had a good season at Jamshedpur FC and explained the factors that made him sign for the Tata Group franchise. “We had a decent debut season and I really loved playing for Jamshedpur FC.” The management and coaching staff was always so supportive. Everyone knows that I was sidelined due to injury for a long time and I received full support from the club. I am back to full fitness and I am hungry to build on the matches I played towards the end of the season.”

Sumeet is determined to go a step further next season as he said, “We will obviously aim to do better next season and go a step further. The overall objective always will be to win the Indian Super League.”

The 24-year-old forward also acknowledged the might of the Jamshedpur FC fans, “The fans were magnificent. They have been loud throughout the season and we could feel their energy being transferred on to us on the pitch. Absolutely amazing!”

Sumeet will join rest of the squad in Bhubaneswar on 27th March as the players return from their break to compete in the Hero Super Cup.
