Defending JSA League Champions Tata Motors kept their good form going as they were victorious again when they took on Jharkhand Sporting Club in the Premier Division at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco, Jamshedpur.
The only goal of the game came via Sadhu Marandi who converted from the penalty spot in the 30th minute of the match to give his side all three points.
Jharkhand Sporting Club tried their best to get back in the game, but were a bit overzealous at times, and had a man sent off in the 65th minute with Raja Majhi receiving a red card.
In the other Premier Division match, Tata Steel ran riot as they put six goals past Jamshedpur Boys Club and conceded only one goal in return at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Kunjan Tudu, Vikash Nayak (2 goals), Sunil Lohar and Sandeep Mahali were all on the score sheet while Dukhu Soren scored what was just a scant consolation in the end for Jamshedpur Boys Club.
At Gopal Maidan, Jungle Tiger Football Academy also scored six times against Aruna Samity Club, with a final score of 6-2 in favour of the former in Super Division action.
Adivasi Development and Welfare Association won 2-0 against Barha Disom Football Team at Armoury Ground in the A Division (Group B) while A Division (Group A) action saw a 1-1 draw between Sidhu Kanu Festival Association and Vision Apex Football Club at Tinplate Sports Complex.
