#JFCGKFC: The Men of Steel to watch out for

After handing a big blow to the Mariners in the previous fixture, the Men of Steel became the first side to qualify for the semi-finals of the Hero Super Cup. As Jamshedpur FC get ready to play their final game of the group stage against I-league side, Gokulam Kerala, know about some of the Men of Steel to look out for -

Vishal Yadav

A recent TFA graduate, Vishal Yadav is a bright prospect for the future of Jamshedpur FC. After training with the Youth squad and the first team, the young custodian finally made his breakthrough in the Hero ISL in the 2022-23 season.

Playing nearly half of the season for the Men of Steel, Vishal was an outstanding addition to the starting line-up. Standing tall on the goalline, he managed to shell out one clean sheet and made some stunning saves with a total of 111 shots faced throughout the season. Vishal is a brave goalkeeper who does not shy away from coming off his line if need be to tackle the opposition.

After going up against the best sides of the Hero ISL, Vishal will be a strong force on the goal line when he goes up against the former I-League Champions, Gokulam Kerala FC.

Jitendra Singh

A U-17 World Cup Indian national, Jitendra Singh is another important name in the list of future talents of the club.

Jitendra featured in 13 games this season and with a passing accuracy of 78.62%, Jitendra Singh made sure he is always precise with his forward passes and through balls into the attacking third to create goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates. Jitu is a box-to-box midfielder who is always on the move in both halves of the pitch, putting his pace, game awareness and agility to the perfect use to give his side the advantage.

Jitu makes sure he makes every minute under his belt count and will be a menace at both ends of the pitch against the Kerala-based side.

Ishan Pandita

Making his way into the club in the outset of the 2021-22 season, Ishan Pandita was one of the influential elements in the Jamshedpur attacking force who helped the club achieve its first silverware.

Ishan has scored on 5 occasions for the Men of Steel, most of them when the team needed it the most which is what he is known for. The forward with his young energy and hunger puts in a lot of work on the attacking end, racking up 2 goals, 26 shots and 5 chances created in the 2022-23 season. The Indian national is a major threat as he does not make any mistake to convert build-ups into goals with his accurate headers, powerful shooting ability and positioning within the box.

Ishan will be another man that the Gokulam Kerala defenders will have to keep a close eye on throughout the game to keep him from appearing on the scoresheet.
