Indian National team and Jamshedpur FC forward, Ishan Pandita spoke about his experience with the Blue Tigers, training under Aidy Boothroyd and his goal ahead of the new season as he got in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda.
Ishan Pandita recently scored his international debut goal for the Blue Tigers during the SAFF 2022 campaign. Speaking on this Pandita expressed, “It was a fantastic experience. Scoring goals for your country in front of such a huge crowd is a special moment."
Under the tutelage of former Head Coach, Owen Coyle, young Ishan flourished in the attacking front. As he scored three crucial goals during the league stages while bagging significant game time. He turned out to be a constant threat in the attacking third and played a crucial role in the team’s offensive move.
Now with Aidy Boothroyd taking charge of the Jamshedpur side, here’s what Ishan said about his taint under the new Gaffer, "He is a very good coach and a fantastic human. We have only been training for two weeks but so far it has been an amazing experience."
Ishan with the rest of the Men of Steel registered a successful season last year and lifted the League Winner’s Shield. After bringing home the club’s first silverware and putting forth a record-breaking season, the expectations from the Jamshedpur squad have skyrocketed for the upcoming season.
When asked about his expectations from the upcoming season of the Hero ISL, here’s what Ishan stated, "We are aiming to win both trophies. We want to give our fans the ISL shield and the Cup."
